Come to the Beach!

Rows of beach chairs are waiting for you...

Seagulls are splashing and preening...getting all spruced up for your photo-ops.

The shelling is great! And the sand is perfect for building giant castles...

The breezes are just right for kite flying! Not to strong... not too gentle...

Walking on the shore or body-surfing in the waves, dozing in the sun or reading a book...

RELAX... listen to the rhythm of the waves...the crash of the water on the breakers...the sound of the breeze...the laughter of children...

Ahhhhh..........

Come join us...
We're waiting for you!

Jane

(All photos were taken at Honeymoon Island State Park...Dunedin, FL. This gorgeous park is just minutes from my home. Stop by for a glass of iced cold pomegranate and mint lemonade.)

Oh, would that I could!!! But, I'll be back! I'm so hoping all this oil spill stuff doesn't keep tourists away...we need them to come and to know that Florida beaches are beautifully clean!!!

You are so lucky to live near the ocean!

Now that is just what the doctor ordered! I need a little bit of beach time! I sometimes wish we still lived on Anna Maria. But I am grateful that I still live relatively close to the beach. Yum! Iced cold pomegranate and mint lemonade sounds delicious! Recipe?

My Florida...I so love that state. It was the best place we lived. Beautiful beaches, especially on the Gulf. Sent your link to a friend who just moved to Dunnedin.

Hello Jane - I am Nancy's friend, Jennifer. It's true, we moved in mid-December to Tarpon Springs from Bonita Springs (by Naples), then in May moved to Dunedin.

It has been quite a year! What with starting new jobs, trying (sometimes futilely) to get settled in, and keeping-on-keeping-on; looking at your wonderful photos made me wish I was but a tourist!!!

My point is, we haven't yet made it to any beaches here, but will.

Kindest Regards,
Jennifer

I'll be there on Sunday!! Only going as far as Destin and the oil is on its way to the beach in the next 48 hrs. but I'll be there with bells on!! Spend some quality girlfriend time but also hope to do some volunteer work, if it's needed.
Your words were beautiful...but I promise, you don't have to convince me how perfect your state is!!!!!!

If I imagine it hard enough, maybe it'll happen and I open my eyes finding myself sitting under a blue umbrella in a blue chair -oh, yeah!

Magical images, Jane -- but yours always are! Every time I visit you, I find myself longing for a trip to the seashore!

So beautiful!! I have been to many Florida beaches since I was born and raised here, but not YOUR beach! My sanctuary is south Daytona Beach, and New Smyrna Beach, although we do love the beaches on the coast of Georgia, too!

Have a beachy week! I'll probably hit it on Tuesday!!

I'll be there sooner than later! I wish I could have been there today, you know I would have joined you on IRB. Gosh, I'm feeling homesick.

Your beach looks beautiful! We will have to make a drive one day to see it for ourselves. It is a totally different look than Sanibel. Because we get so many shells here, the sand is usually stirred up in the water, so not as clear as yours. But, I love looking for shells. :) I will just come visit your sparkling blue water. :)

I love the muffin recipe and will soon be trying them! And....that breakfast looks great! MMMMmmmmm indeed!
