AU FOOTBALL....IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!

Finally....the day is here! It's time for AUBURN FOOTBALL! Time to see the eagle fly around the stadium at the beginning of the game....to hear the chants of "War Eagle, HEY!"...to see our boys, dressed in burnt orange and navy blue race onto the field...to hear the band play and the fans in the stands sing the AU fight song...rolling the oaks at Toomer's Corner after the win...

Alas, we'll have to do this from our home for this game...and most of the games this year. BUT...we WILL be in attendance for at least one game!

So...to commemorate the opening of the AU FOOTBALL SEASON, here's a look at some of our tailgates...and game days from years past...
WAR EAGLE!
Score board from last season's Ole Miss game!

One of our footballs...signed by the team. The other (seen in another photo, below) was signed by the former coach, T. Tuberville...
From one of our tablescapes last season...
Auburn fleece blanket "tablecloth", MacDaddy's favorite book, another autographed football, and a tigertail...not to mention AU condiments, towels, napkins, etc.
And of course, you MUST have a tiger on the table!
We even go to bowl games...especially when they're in Tampa! (This is before the game. The weather was horrid...freezing and wet, with winds blowing from the north...enough to flap our raingear over our heads. But we won!!!)
Our dog, Rowdy, and our grandpups, Hannah and Hurley, dress for game days, too.

We always make a stop at Mark's Pumpkin Patch when we drive home from Auburn...and of course, everyone is wearing their orange and blue...after all, what other colors do you wear on gameday weekends?

We're READY....Tonight at 7PM...

WAR EAGLE!

Hello Jane,
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. You have no idea how much I appreciate your noting the name of your blog as I have a hard time figuring out who goes with what blog name.

Not a football fan here, but love that the dogs are part of your fandom!

We are big football fans too. I stayed home from a vacation with a friend because BYU has their opening game and I didn't want to miss it today.

Love football season and all of the fun with it. It brings back such memories of being off to college. The doggies are soooo cute dressed up and ready to be Tiger fans. Have a great season!

Catherine M. - Trust my DIL...and "mother" to the grandpups to catch me on this...It has been corrected and duly noted that I messed up with the footballs. In my defense...I did this post at 3am...when I should have been asleep!
Love ya!

We love to support our football teams, don't we? Several of us gathered at a sports bar last night to cheer our team on to a win!

Dads and Lads! that's so cute! I'm glad you think I would have been right up there with them and their cake decorating! :)

We love college ball, too, but are Gators fans. Still mourning the loss of Tim Tebow. I think the team is trying to figure out who they are without him. They'll get to it, I'm sure.
Love your team spirit!!
Have a great week!

Now you know I don't know anything about sports, but I LOVE all the family time it brings to all of you. So much fun! I do however love the pooches getting in on the action also.

Jane, thanks for your sweet comment on my upcoming move. I think it's a good decision. Plus, I just learned they have a combo Art and Farmer's Market every Saturday. Now what's better than food and art?

Hugs

What a fun post! It's obvious that your family takes Auburn football very seriously -- and has the accoutrements to prove it!

Your blog background makes me want to dig out my brushes and watercolors! Hope they haven't dried up in the tubes.

Hope you have a great weekend!
